HITCITY's programming throws three decades and three genres into a blender, and somehow it holds together. The pop block leans heavily Swedish - ABBA, Robyn, even some Ace of Base if you're lucky. Oldies pull from the American and British 60s and 70s, think The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, and Motown. Then the techno hour hits, and suddenly you're in a Stockholm club, with deep beats reminiscent of Adam Beyer's label or even the raw energy of Slikback. It's jarring, but that's the charm.
