Nostalgie Summer

Nostalgie Summer is the seasonal offshoot of Nostalgie, the French network that's been trading in variété française and soft-focus memories for decades. The premise here is narrow and it works: sunshine hits, mostly French, mostly from the '80s and '90s. Expect Niagara, Début de Soirée, Images, and the odd Claude François singalong. It's cheesy. That's the point. The station isn't chasing new music. It's chasing a feeling, the specific one that arrives around late June when someone opens a bottle of rosé and puts on the radio.
