Southampton Hospital Radio does exactly what it says on the tin. It broadcasts from within the hospital to patients, staff, and visitors. The music is carefully selected to soothe and uplift. You'll hear plenty of golden oldies and gentle pop - nothing too abrasive. The presenters sound like volunteers, not pros, and that's part of the charm. They read out get-well messages and announce events in the wards. It's incredibly local. For a patient lying in bed, this station can be a lifeline.
