Kudu FM takes its name from the antelope that haunts the bushveld, and that's about as indigenous as South African radio gets. The programming is broad, as general-interest South African radio tends to be. Talk, news, music, the occasional phone-in. What holds it together is an ear for homegrown sounds. Kwaito still gets respect here. So does amapiano, though the better shows know the difference between Kabza De Small's early stuff and the festival remixes. And when a Brenda Fassie or Hugh Masekela track lands, nobody skips it. The daytime block can drag, honestly. Too many ads, too much filleβ¦
