Nostalgie Nice is the Riviera's home for French chanson and the big hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Claude François, Dalida, Johnny Hallyday, Michel Sardou. A Beatles track wedged between them. The formula hasn't changed in decades and it doesn't need to. The daytime block is where the station is strongest. Familiar voices, easy segues, the occasional nod to the city itself. Gentle radio, in the best sense of the word. Late at night the tempo slows and the deeper cuts surface: more Aznavour than disco, more Gainsbourg than glitter.
