TeleSUR isn't shy about where it stands. Launched in 2005 with backing from a coalition of Latin American governments, the Caracas-based network covers the region from a decidedly non-Washington angle. Its slogan says it all: 'Nuestro Norte es el Sur.' Expect long-form reporting on Venezuelan politics, Argentine economic crises, Cuban health policy, and Brazilian stories that barely register elsewhere.
