CKLU is Sudbury's campus community radio, broadcast from Laurentian University. It's raw and unpolished, and that's exactly why it works. The playlist jumps from Canadian indie rock staples like Arcade Fire to local acts you won't find on Spotify. The volunteer DJs pick their own tracks, leading to unpredictable segues. It's a training ground for future broadcasters, which keeps the energy fresh. One moment it's a deep B-side from Broken Social Scene, the next it's some obscure folk record from the 70s.
