KUER is Utah's NPR station, and it does what public radio does best: informs without yelling. Morning Edition anchors the mornings, but the real value is in local coverage - state politics, the Great Salt Lake ecosystem, and rural issues you won't hear on national feeds. The midday blocks drag occasionally when they lean too hard on syndicated talk shows, but stick around for local news segments. They actually send reporters to the state capitol.
