NRJ's all-reggae webradio keeps things simple: riddims first, chatter last, no apologies. French and Francophone acts dominate the playlist, which means Naâman, Danakil, and Dub Inc sitting next to Alpha Blondy and Tiken Jah Fakoly. Roots cuts from the '70s turn up regularly, and that's when the station sounds best. Some of it drifts lighter and poppier. Not for everyone.
