Trasformatorio doesn't fit neatly into a genre box, and that's its greatest strength. Based in Switzerland, the station serves up a bewildering and often beautiful mix of experimental electronica, field recordings, and avant-garde compositions. One moment you're hearing crackling vinyl from some obscure 70s library music, the next it's a live set from a contemporary Swiss improviser. The transitions feel deliberate, almost curated by someone with a deep love for the weird and wonderful. It works.
