
Highway Radio Hits runs the whole jukebox, from Chuck Berry's duckwalk to Grandmaster Flash cutting up two turntables. The oldies block is the spine of it: Motown, Stax, early rock and roll, the stuff that still fills a backyard barbecue. Then the decades roll forward. Disco and freestyle show up. So does early hip hop, the Sugarhill Gang and Run-DMC era, back when a drum machine and a shout were enough. It's a broad format, and broad formats usually get lazy. This one mostly doesn't.
