Broadcasting from Brasília, Rádio Senado is a strange and wonderful beast. It's the official radio of the Brazilian Senate, but it's not all speeches and debates. The music blocks are surprisingly eclectic. You'll hear classic MPB from Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, then suddenly a samba de roda track or a contemporary indie act from São Paulo. It's not trying to be cool. That's what makes it cool. The playlist feels uncurated in the best way, like someone just grabbed a stack of CDs from a government archive.
