Germany has more jazz radio than most countries know what to do with, but this one takes its title seriously. The framing is continental: Nordic trumpet, Polish avant-garde, German free improvisation, French chamber jazz. Expect Jan Garbarek's austere saxophone, the Esbjörn Svensson Trio at their most melodic, maybe Tomasz Stańko when the mood turns gray.
