Itahari sits where the East-West Highway meets the Koshi Highway, a trading town that never really sleeps, and its radio sounds like that. Expect plenty of Nepali folk: lok dohori, madal-driven tunes, the sort of thing that fills a Dashain gathering. Then the adhunik canon, Narayan Gopal and Arun Thapa, plus newer voices like Bartika Eam Rai and Bipul Chettri when a host is feeling generous.
