Kix 106 does what a country station should, it plays the hits without pretending to be something it's not. The playlist leans toward mainstream Nashville, think Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson, but they haven't forgotten the classics. George Strait and Alan Jackson still get airtime, especially during the midday throwback block. That's refreshing.
