Nepal is a country where radio still matters. In the hills and the Terai, in Kathmandu traffic and tea shops in Ilam, the dial does what a streaming queue can't: it's shared. Nepal Network sits in that tradition. Expect Nepali folk with madal and sarangi at its core, the adhunik geet that everyone's parents grew up on (Narayan Gopal still gets played like he never left), and a fair amount of talk. The music blocks are the reason to stay. Kutumba's instrumental folk-rock lands well next to 1974 AD, and newer voices like Sajjan Raj Vaidya turn up more often than you'd guess from a general broadcβ¦
