Ostrock und Ostpop

Ostrock und Ostpop does exactly what its name promises - East German rock and pop, and nothing else. That narrow focus is its superpower. The playlists lean heavily on the big names of DDR rock: Puhdys, Karat, Silly, and Keimzeit. You'll also hear some of the more obscure B-sides that didn't make it onto official compilations. All in German, naturally. The daytime blocks sometimes repeat a bit too much - you'll hear 'Wenn ein Mensch lebt' twice in one shift. But stick around for the themed shows in the evening that dig deeper. There is no attempt to modernize the sound or mix in Western hits.…
