Radio Chitwan Aawaj is a community station in the truest sense: it broadcasts for the town it's named after, not for a national audience. The music skews Nepali. Not only the modern pop side of things, either. Tharu folk from the surrounding Terai, lok geet, dohori duets, golden-era voices like Narayan Gopal and Arun Thapa, and newer names such as Sajjan Raj Vaidya and Bartika Eam Rai all belong to the same conversation here.
