NORA Oldies

NORA Oldies does exactly what its name promises: oldies, and plenty of them. Daytime playlists lean heavily on the predictable hits - think Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Chuck Berry. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's comfortable radio, the kind you put on while cooking or driving. But for real fans, the evening shows are where it gets interesting. They pull out tracks you rarely hear - one night I caught a B-side from The Drifters, another featured some obscure German rock 'n' roll from the '50s.
